The Same Air We Breathe Lifts Wings
9”x 12” digital prints of a lithograph
One day when walking in San Francisco, I exhaled a deep breath as a pigeon beside me took flight. The idea of how a creature and I shared the same air in different ways inspired this piece.
Lithography is a planographic printmaking process in which a design is drawn onto a flat stone with a smooth surface and affixed to it by a means of a chemical reaction. The printing is transferring the image from the stone onto paper through a press.
*This image is available both as original lithograph prints and as digital prints.
